MUSEUM OF PRECIOUS RARE BOOKS
The museum was first opened in 1981 to publicize precious
Mongolian ancient scripts and books to Mongolians and foreigners. Ganjuur,
Buddhist 108 teachings of scripture that play a very important role in Mongolian
history and world history is preserved in the museum of precious rare books.
Additionally, Danjuur, explanatory dictionary of Ganjuur sutra which consists
of 226 volumes, is also preserved in the museum. The words, written on the
Ganjuur sutra, were told by Great Buddha himself, making it unique in the world.
