Overview

The tour takes place on the Onon River basin in the Khentii province, east of Mongolia, with 4 days fishing in the wild and pristine nature. In addition to the natural features, it is possible to get an unforgettable memory of historical sites and beautiful mountains, river, canyons and unique places nearby Mongolian-Russian border. There are some fishing tools available, and a local guide and a fishing guide can help to make your tour wonderful. Fishing license and permission to enter in border region is obtained in accordance with Mongolian law and the preparation for the trip is well done. Note that most of the trip is through swampy dirt roads in the forest-steppe zone.

  • Take a short break to explore UB and to see the museums in the city.
  • Stay in a hotel.

2nd Day

  • Drive to the Khentii province.
  • Drive to Khangal lake
  • Overnight in a nomadic family.

3rd Day

  • Drive to Uglugch Wall
  • Lunch in a nomadic family.
  • Visit “Bayarsaikhan - Hunting museum”
  • Drive to Khilchin ovoo.
  • Overnight stay in a tourist camp.

4th Day

  • Drive to Bakhiin adag.
  • Fishing.
  • Overnight stay in a tourist camp.

5th Day

  • Drive to Egiin goliin adag.
  • Fishing.
  • Overnight stay in a tourist camp.

6th Day

  • Drive to Onon river (Dood Onon).
  • Fishing.
  • Overnight stay in a tourist camp.

7th Day

  • Drive to Onon river  (Deed Onon).
  • Fishing.

8th Day

  • Drive to Binder soum, Yargui cliff.
  • After lunch, continues the tour to Chingis town.
  • Visit Tsesten khan museum & historical monuments.
  • Overnight stay in a tourist camp.

9th Day

  • Morning hiking tour - Gamal mountain - see Argali – wild sheep
  • Drive back to  Ulaanbaatar city over 320 km.

10th Day

  • Flight day back to the country.
