Itinerary

Day 1

  • Drive to Tsagaan suvraga
  • Hiking to Tsagaan suvraga
  • Stay overnight in a tourist camp

Day 2

  • Drive to Dalanzadgad city
  • Visit the museum of South Gobi province after lunch
  • Drive to tourist camp and stay in the camp

Day 3

  • Drive to Yoliin (Bearded Vulture valley) and Dungenee valley
  • Hiking in the Yoliin valley, that stretches about 8km and elevated 2800m a.s.l.
  • Stay overnight in a tourist camp

Day 4

  • Drive to the largest and most impressive white sand dunes in Mongolia, Khongor sand dunes
  • Camelback riding to the foothill of sand dunes and hike up to the top
  • Stay overnight in a tourist camp

Day 5

  • Drive to Khavtsgait rock paintings and Bayanzag - Flaming cliffs
  • Drive to Ongi steppe and Ongi monastery after lunch
  • Stay overnight in a tourist camp

Day 6

  • Drive to the Orkhon waterfall
  • Lunch on the way
  • Stay overnight in a tourist camp

Day 7

  • Drive to the Tuvkhun monastery
  • Horseback riding to the Tuvkhun ancient monastery
  • Drive to the Kharkhorin town 
  • Stay overnight in a local guest house

Day 8

  • Visit the Erdenezuu monastery and Kharkhorin museum
  • Drive to Memorial Complex of the Turkish period after lunch 
  • Stay overnight in a tourist camp

Day 9

  • Drive back to Ulaanbaatar city (16:00)
